OUR HERITAGE...
The name Meyer has been synonymous with the UK timber industry for a little over a hundred years, having first been established in 1906, although the roots of the company can be traced significantly further back, to around 1770.

We are the proud inheritors of 240 years of tradition, however we are not a traditional company in the sense that custom and convention do not rule the way in which we operate. This is because a key strand in our history is the ability of our forerunners to re-invent themselves.

Over the years, they transformed their businesses many times as major events such as war, or the introduction of new technology and other modernising influences led to necessary change. Today, we retain this
capability to change and adapt our business. We are able to do this because of the efforts of an experienced, dedicated workforce that is willing to look to the future while retaining the best aspects of our traditions. We are flexible, adaptable but, above all, focussed.
